Raigmore Hospital

Raigmore Hospital is a hospital in Inverness, Scotland. It is the main hospital for Highland.

Whilst there has been a hospital on the site since 1941, the current hospital has been in development since 1970. The hospital has Accident and Emergency, Radiology, Radiotherapy and Out-Patient Departments as well as providing Laboratory and Paramedical services Intensive Care, Coronary Care, Maternity, Chest/Control of Infection and Renal Units. It is also a teaching hospital, working with the University of Aberdeen, the North of Scotland Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and the University of Stirling.

In 1962 Frank Prewett died here.

In 2005 Robin Cook was brought here after collapsing whilst hill walking. He was pronounced dead on arrival.
