As for myself, I am American, though I speak some Japanese and lived there for a number of years. Why I like manga? I have been exposed to the culture since childhood and am working to become a professional manga artist here in the United States. I suppose in that regard you could say that I am both. I am of Hispanic descent, and individuals of Hispanic ethnicity are genetically noted as biracial Amerindian/Europeans. I have been to both places where my heritage originates, and I have to admit, to me, it matters little, as I tend to define myself as who I am more than where I am from genetically. If I have to call myself American, it is because the culture that I was raised in (the North American one) places more value on citizenship rather than where your ancestry comes from.--み使い Mitsukai 04:43, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
