Rahul Vaidya

Rahul Vaidya (born September 23, 1987 in Nagpur) is an Indian pop singer.

The son of a worker with the Maharashtra State Electricity Board and a homemaker, Vaidya lived in Mumbai, where he studied music under Suresh Wadkar. While he was a Second Year Junior College student he participated in Indian Idol.

He finished third on the first season of Indian Idol. A peoples' favourite, he was tipped to win until his defeat in the second-to-last round, on February 18, 2005. Eight months later he released his debut album Tera Intezar. Sajid-Wajid composed the music for his debut album. He has sung the song "Hello Madam, I am your Adam" along with third runner-up on Indian Idol Prajakta Shukre and "God Promise Dil Dola" with Shreya Ghoshal in Bollywood film Shaadi No. 1.
