Raheen

Raheen is a suburban district in Limerick City, Ireland. It contains Raheen Industrial Estate and Limerick Regional Hospital.
It is also the name of a small village in County Laois, located near Abbeyleix. It is a very small village but one of the biggest parishes in the country. It has a church, a pub (Eamon A Chnoic), a school and 2 shops (Fitzpatricks and Dunnes).
[edit] Flagship eco-friendly school
It's new eco-friendly school was opened in December 2001. Built well above standard specs it makes excellent use of natural light with the 3 classrooms all facing south.
Rainwater is collected, sanitised and used with only a minimum amount of mains water being used.
