Rafto Foundation for Human Rights

The Rafto Foundation for Human Rights was established in 1986, in gratitude of the efforts and inspiration given by Professor Thorolf Rafto. It is based in Bergen, Norway.
The main objectives for the Rafto Foundation are to promote freedom of spirit, political freedom and freedom of trade as fundamental elements in the human rights. The work is based on a humanitarian work to promote a worthy life standard regardless of geographical boundaries. The main activities of the Rafto Foundation are concentrated around the Rafto Prize.
