Rafal (Rafe) Heydel-Mankoo

Rafal or "Rafe" Heydel-Mankoo, one of Canada's principal royal commentators, was born in London, England and educated in Ottawa and Toronto, Canada where he received degrees in history and law (BA, LLB, MA). He appears regularly on television and radio to discuss and defend the Monarchy and has provided live television commentary for events including the Golden Jubilee of HM The Queen, the funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and the marriage of HRH The Prince of Wales. He is a noted authority on honours, aristocracy, royalty, and Winston Churchill.
Mr. Heydel-Mankoo now lives in London, England where he is Editor of Burke's Peerage & Gentry, having co-edited and co-authored World Orders of Knighthood & Merit in 2006, a monumental 2,000 page history, in 2 large volumes, dealing with every Order of Chivalry awarded in the world. This was the most important publication of its kind for over 150 years.
Heydel-Mankoo is a former director of the Royal Heraldry Society of Canada, past chairman of the Monarchist League of Canada, former officer of the Queen Mother Memorial Fund and former director of the International Churchill Society, Canada. He is a Trustee of the Canadian Royal Heritage Trust, a Council Member of the Royal Stuart Society, a Committee Member of the International Churchill Society, and a Commissioner for the reconstituted International Commission for Orders of Chivalry.
