Rafael Segovia, born in Mexico City in 1952 is a writer who also practices photography, filmmaking, theatre, television and video. He was the founder of the Consejo Ciudadano de Cultura y las Artes de Morelos. He also founded the Red de Diversidad Cultural in Mexico, associated to the UNESCO network of cultural diversity. He spoke at the Johannesburg Earth Summit 2002 and has helped raise awareness of protection of the cultural heritage in Cuernavaca, Morelos.
