Rachelle Arlin M. Credo

Rachelle Arlin M. Credo is a Filipino Cebuano writer and poet from Consolacion, Cebu, Philippines. She was born on June 22, 1984 to parents Arnulfo Lajot Credo Jr. and Marylin Gonzaga Malunjao. She graduated from Consolacion Central School in 1997 and from Saint Louis School of Mandaue in 2001. She attended Velez College as a Medical Technology student but in 2004, a rare autoimmune disease called systemic lupus suddenly crippled her health. She was forced to put her academic studies to a halt and undergo a lifetime treatment regimen.

In late 2005, an opportunity helped her reclaim her life and enkindle her childhood dream of becoming a writer. She was invited as a guest contributor for a writing publication in the UK. This gave her the impetus to take writing seriously and paved the way to a writing career. She began writing more on a variety of topics and published several articles and poetry in print magazines and online publications worldwide. She also joined various writing contests and garnered some coveted awards. She has to her credit among other published anthologies, "Literally Speaking", an anthology of compelling short stories and poetry that she co-authored with other eminent poets and writers. As an established magazine columnist and freelance writer, she pens with unrelenting literary fervor, essays and articles about life, family and relationships that provides us with images that resonate, whose meaning can be contemplated and explored. She is currently collating her previously published poems for a poetry collection to be published in 2007.
