Radio Wairarapa

Radio Wairarapa is a New Zealand radio station owned by The Radio Network (TRN). The station broadcasts on 90.1FM in Masterton and Newstalk ZB is on 846AM.
The station is operated as part of the Community Radio Network and broadcasts some locally produced air-time while the majority of the its broadcast is taken from the Classic Hits FM network broadcast from Auckland.

Radio Wairarapa was lauched as 2ZD in 1959.
Until the late 1990's, Radio Wairarapa broadcast on 846 AM. In the late 1990's, Radio Wairarapa starting broadcasting on 90.1 FM, before finally withdrawing the AM frequency around 2000, to the dismay of some residents, who couldn't receive the FM station.
