Radio 101- The best independent radio station, with latest music and breaking news in Croatia. It broadcasts from Zagreb (capital of Croatia) and has a regional license for the Zagreb county. It's also one of the most popular stations in Zagreb and in Croatia as well. Started broadcasting in 1984. on 101 MHz (hence the name). In 1996 the ruleing party tried to revoke it's license, but around 120 000 people protested on the main square in Zagreb and kept it on the air. Station emphasizing independent journalism and democratic values, their wacky morning shows are very popular today, but station also brings highest number of various music specialist shows where many new releases can be heard for the first time in Croatia.
