Racosperma is a genus of shrubs and trees of belonging to the subfamily Mimosoideae of the Pea Family Fabaceae, first described from Africa by C. F. P. Martius in 1829.
There are roughly 980 species native to Australia: about 10 do not occur in Austrlaia, chiefly spread around the dry tropical to warm-temperate regions of both hemispheres.
