Raby, Wirral

Raby is a small village located in the centre of the Wirral Peninsula in England. It comprises a few house, two farms and an old, thatched public house, the Wheatsheaf, which is well known in the locality. The Wheatsheaf is owned by the Leverhulme Estate that owns much land locally.

Situated about three miles away from the village lies Raby Mere. This is another village, now nearly contiguous with the town of Brombourough. It is more populous than Raby itself, and is known for its mere, a lake that has been a used for leisure purposes for many years
