[edit] Africa(Alt)
Hello, and welcome. I've moved your alternate page on Africa because it seemed like you were working on some proposed changes, and that's usually reserved for the user space. It's here. Also, when making significant changes (like removing a taxonomic classification) it's best to discuss them on the talk page first. Lastly, I replaced the templates on your articles because it's general policy that people who have created articles aren't allowed to remove deletion templates, not because I have anything against them. Again, welcome, and I look forward to seeing some great edits from you. Makemi 00:56, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
thx! this was a project for school and i thought id write an article about africa thats a little easyer for my fellow pupils to understand, but thx for moving it!
[edit] re: Africa (alt)
Somebody else moved your above article to the User:R4000 subpage and I have deleted the resulting redirect. Please do not attempt to recreate articles that already exist on Wikipedia. Thanks, BanyanTree 01:26, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] re: Africa (alt)

[edit] SdlBasic
Please don't take the comments in the deletion debate too personally. I can assure you that they are not aimed at you. One thing that is important to remember is that we get literally *hundreds* of "junk" articles a day - people writing articles about themselves, their classmates, etc. - and it is relatively easy for an article like this to get categorized in that section. For what it's worth, I have voted "Keep" for the SdlBasic article on the grounds that there are over 20,000 Google hits. Citing facts like this will help make your case more convincing. Please see WP:V and WP:CITE for some examples of our policies that may help in writing articles. Also, some people on AFD will take it more seriously if you say Keep instead of Don't Delete, simply because this is convention and using "Don't Delete" marks you as a newbie. Basically, your article was caught up into a meat grinder designed to handle stuff a lot more clear-cut than this. I'm sorry. Crotalus horridus (TALK • CONTRIBS) 20:42, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] re: sdlBasic
I totally agree with Crotalus horridus here (except for the Google bit). Unfortunatly a lot of new users have see the first articles they have created deleted, because they don't underdstand the importance of WP:V yet. I hope you stay around. Cheers and happy edititing, Ruud 21:02, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] re: sdlBasic
Thx for the support guys! Ill use 'Keep' from now on, and i have read the VP:V R4000 22:01, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] SdlBasic/Header
If you're intending to use this as a template, it should go into the Template: namespace instead of the main article namespace. enochlau (talk) 01:43, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] re: sdlBasic/Header
Thx for the help, but i don't need it :) i figured it out. R4000 01:44, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] re: sdlBasic/Header
If you want them deleted from the article namespace, just tag them with {{delete}} Thanks. enochlau (talk) 01:46, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] TfD nomination of Template:User sdlBasic
Template:User sdlBasic has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. Matthew Fenton (contribs) 23:13, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- The result of the discussion was move to user space. As the creator and only substantial contributor to the template, would you be willing to take the userbox into your user space? Pagrashtak 02:56, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject sdlBasic
I note that the project page you created above has no listed members, not even yourself. This is not good, as one of the criteria for deleting a project is not having any listed members. You might want to correct that situation. Also, you might be interested in the Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Guide, which has some ideas regarding how to let people know your project exists and how to try to recruit members. Good luck.
