R/V Atlantis (AGOR-25)

R/V Atlantis (AGOR-25) is an oceanographic research vessel operated by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. It is the host vessel of DSV Alvin and has been in service since 1997. It was named for the first research vessel operated by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, for which the Shuttle Atlantis is also named.

The Atlantis and three other research ships were all built to the same basic design. The three sister ships are R/V Thomas G. Thompson (UW), R/V Roger Revelle (Scripps) and NOAAS Ronald H. Brown (NOAA).
