[edit] Wall Street, the movie.

I took this out of the article:

A similar storyline, about a Gatsby-like character (Brant) and his young admirer (Winans), drove Oliver Stone's hit 1987 film, Wall Street, which won Michael Douglas an Academy Award for his portrayal of a rapacious financier named Gordon Gekko.

Is there any evidence of any actual connection, like inspiration? It seems like just a coincidence to me. SnowFire 02:00, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
