Rîbniţa (Administrative Region)

The Administrative Region of Rîbniţa (Russian: Rybnitsa) is a subdivision of Transnistria. The rural population of the region includes 29,051 people. The region had in 1989 a population of 34,400 people, excluding the city of Rîbniţa: 47% were Romanians, 42% were Ukrainians, 8% were Russians and the rest were Bulgarians, Gagauzians, Jews, Belarusians, Poles, and Germans. It is located in 47°45′N 29°00′E.
