QW-2 Vanguard 2

The QW-2 Vanguard 2 is a Chinese all-aspect man-portable infrared guided surface to air missile. It isn't clear when the missile first entered service, but it is likely to have been between 1998 and 2002. [1]

The missile is similar in many respects to the SA-16 Igla-1 missile system, although it is slightly shorter, and has a different seeker head.
