Hi, I'm on Wikibreak for a while. Just getting ground down. (See my userpage)
Now talk.
I came across this page on accident, and was tempted to talk due to that header there. --Wooty Woot? contribs 10:57, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome (again) to Wikipedia
Hi Quirex! I would like to welcome you to Wikipedia again after your break of several months. Having looked at your edits since your return, I've noticed that you have been concentrating your efforts on finding the negative aspects of articles. In some cases these efforts lead to articles being nominated for deletion. I encourage you to contribute content and improve existing content instead of taking what some could see as a deletionist approach to the project. Again, welcome and if you have any questions, feel free to send me a message via my talk page. ZsinjTalk 21:42, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
Hey what is your name on SA?
[edit] RE: Citation removal in Ari Shaffir in the name ANTI-SEO?
The link I removed was in violation of WP:EL, as it could be considered a hijacked site, and the blogger does NOT seem to be a recognized authority. --Jdevalk 16:13, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
- I consider this page hijacked since the owner isn't doing anything about the comments on this page. Do you really want someone who clicks a link on WikiPedia to be hit by Viagra links? No matter that they're in comments, since they're there, and there's a lot of them, the page should not be linked to from WP. --Jdevalk 11:31, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Criticism of Christianity
Hello Quirex. I want nothing more than to maintain a balanced description of the POVs in that article, even if that means introducing unsourced content to balance the other unsourced content. That is a temporary solution, and I never intended it to be permanent. I am looking for sources for both POVs, and have found some good ones already. For my edits to that article, I have been accused of "censorship" by Jerry1964 and "wielding POV as a weapon" by you. That is not my intent at all, and I find these accusations unfair. I am just trying to maintain a NPOV despite a current lack of sources for either side. Look at my contributions to the racial and cultural dominance section for an example of the kind of content I plan to contribute to the gender section. That section of the article has by far the most number of sources, all contributed by me, and I think it represents both POVs fairly and accurately, though it is still a bit unbalanced. Please do not confuse me with a person who is uninterested in supporting his work with facts. I have big plans for the gender section, plans that include all of Wikipedia's policies, and I am open to cooperation with you toward fulfilling them. It will take time, so I ask for your patience, if not your assistance. Ecto 22:52, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
P.S. I apologize to you for losing my temper and telling you to "get off it". I shouldn't have said that, in addition to some other things. I am sorry. I feel that my intentions were in line with Wikipedia's policies and my edits were being held to a double standard, so I hope you can understand why I felt so frustrated and forgive me. Thank you. Thanks for your understanding, Quirex. I think I'm about due for a wikibreak. I'll have a rewrite of that section in a few weeks' time, though. Ecto 08:50, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
