Talk:Quire
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In standard modern usage, "quire" is a unit used in printing and paper-making. "Quire' is an antique spelling for Choir (ecclestiastical), which was gradually replaced by choir in the 17th century, then revived by the 19th century Anglican high-church Ecclesiology movement, a somewhat self-conscious aspect of the Gothic Revival.
