The Quincy Rail Bridge carries rail lines across the Mississippi River between West Quincy, Missouri and Quincy, Illinois. Originally constructed for the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad which is now BNSF Railway. In the 1960s and early 1970s it served Amtrak's Illinois Zephyr, Kansas City Zephyr and American Royal Zephyr between Chicago and Kansas City. It could also serve as a backup route should the Fort Madison Toll Bridge be unavailable.
