- Partition of Quebec was created on December 7 by User:DW Geoff, a user name which obviously puts me immediately in mind of the infamous User:DW (a/k/a Angelique, JillandJack, A. Lafontaine, etc.); I just caught it as an uncategorized stub a few minutes ago. It may be a topic that merits a suitably neutral encyclopedic treatment, but it'll certainly need monitoring and discussion as to the best way to handle it. Bearcat 01:33, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Articles in need of maintenance
- Le Livre noir du Canada Anglais - NPOV disputed
- Louis-Alexandre Taschereau - NPOV & clean-up work needed
- Municipal reorganization in Quebec - ALL the city links needs to be correctly formatted. I had started it but it seems to never have saved *sob* Circeus
- Montreal Metro delisted GA due to the lack of inline citations, as required by the GA criteria.
[edit] Naming issues
- CEGEPs: Should this category be named "Quebec CEGEPs" or "Quebec cegeps"? Circeus 18:57, Apr 19, 2005 (UTC)
- I would say "Quebec CEGEPs", "CEGEPs of Quebec" or "CEGEPs in Quebec"... We'd have to check similar categories to choose which one would be most "standard-like". I agree that "CEGEP" should be plural. I think it should be uppercase; this is the usual convention, from what I know, in the press (it is an acronymn afterall). I wonder if an acute accent should be upon the first "E", however. --Liberlogos 19:18, 19 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- AFAIK, CEGEP has not been lexicalized in English as it has in French ("cégep"), so it should be considered an acronym. The OQLF's GDT lists the English term as "CEGEP", with no accent. --Fbriere 11:01, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Why not simply Category:CEGEPs, since there is no other jurisdiction that has them? (As far as I know). Indefatigable 01:07, 21 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Very well, I'll move the articles ASAP and nominate the cats at WP:CFD
- Done, migrated, cat in nomination for CFD

- Saint-Leonard, Quebec → Saint Leonard, Quebec (discuss) — Is this a case where we can clearly state that the proposed name is the more standard usage in English? An anon user thinks so. I don't. Bearcat 02:56, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
