"Queen of the Night" is an uptempo rock-pop-dance track, with Houston expressing how she 'rules the club scene', proclaiming herself "Queen of the Night". The song was co-written by Houston herself, her first time co-writing one of her songs.

"Queen Of The Night" was not officially released in America, however, it did received some radio airplay and appeared on the Billboard Airplay Chart, peaking at #36. Due to Billboard rules at the time, since there was no commercial single available, the song would not be able to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. The song did find its way onto the Billboard Hot Club/Dance Music Play chart, and rocketed all the way to #1.
The song was nominated for a Razzie Award for Worst Original Song in 1992.
The song was released in several other countries and became a hit in the UK, peaking at #14.
