Priscilla: Queen of the Desert (The Musical)

Priscilla: Queen of the Desert the Musical written by Australian film director/writer Stephan Elliott and British screenwriter Allan Scott, is a stage adaptation of the 1994 Latent Image/Specific Films motion picture distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, staring Hugo Weaving, Guy Pearce and Terence Stamp. Priscilla's Costume Designers Tim Chappel & Lizzy Gardiner were awarded the Oscar for Best Costume Designs.
The new musical, Directed by Melbourne Theatre Company Artistic Director Simon Phillips, stars Tony Sheldon, Jeremy Stanford and Daniel Scott, featuring Michael Caton.
As of April 2007, the musical celebrated its 200th performance and has sold over 250,000 tickets.
