[edit] Explain

Could anyone explain who is Baxikanov? All that I could find on Internet in English is that he lived in early 19th century [1]. There are also references to streets and a city named Baxikanov. If that is named after him, he must be famous in Azerbaijan but I still cannot find what he actually did. Andris 14:34, Sep 2, 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for catching my rayon snafu. Well, I've been doing some research on central asia, and there most names have been changed (into all kinds of mad spellings) post the Soviet era. I guess the same will be true in transcaucasia. I can find a bit under the spelling "Bakikhanov" (but there seem to be a number of people and streets of that name) and I found this. -- Finlay McWalter | Talk 15:34, 2 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Thanks for finding this out! I will change the spelling in the article, then. Andris 16:34, Sep 2, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Expand

We need to expand this article by adding more information and pictures to this article. Baku87 19:08, 9 April 2006 (UTC)Baku87

took a stab at the history section, I will create a separate article for the Krasnaya Sloboda area since it probably would be a little big for a subsection of Quba. -- Bobak 22:59, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
