[edit] Harvest Moon: B2N

Generally speaking, because old versions are kept in the history, it would be okay to overwrite the current mess and start over. GameFAQs probably covers the information in a better way anyway. Nifboy 16:12, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Images of scary monsters! ! !

I'm sure you have something in mind about how you want the images to look, so I don't want to just add them outright, but instead I can list what to add. For the KBD you'll use [[Image:Runescape monsters kingblackdragon.gif]] and for the Chaos Elemental you'll use [[Image:Runescape monsters chaoselemental.gif]].

The vertical bar you mentioned could be located in several places. Try shift + \, which is either above the enter key or to the left of Z depending on your location. With that, you can add in things like [[Image:Runescape monsters chaoselemental.gif|right]] to align right or [[Image:Runescape monsters kingblackdragon.gif|frame|The [[tripartite]] KBD attacks with a blast of fire!]] for example to give the picture a caption. If all else fails you can put the pictures on the page and ask someone else to fix them up how you want! Hyenaste (tell) 03:56, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Harvest Moon: Magical Melody

Thanks for your praise of my work on the characters section. I'm probably overstepping myself, but are you familiar with the concept of barnstars?....:) --Niroht 15:54, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Speculation section in RuneScape skills

Good call removing that bit, glad I'm not the only one who thinks like that. I haven't seen a single citation for those entries anywhere, so it's for the best. CaptainVindaloo t c e 17:37, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, I appreciate that. Such material will not stand up to external scrutiny and drags the article down, I thought it best to explain my reasons and be bold, everyone's got enough to do without having debates over such minor article aspects. QuagmireDog 21:38, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I am genuinely shocked you haven't had more of these

The Original Barnstar
It was surprisingly hard choosing a barnstar to give you - there are so many that you deserve; for all your work keeping the crufters and vandals off the RuneScape pages, stabilizing them and preparing them for the big merge. QuagmireDog, semper vigilans! Thanks, CaptainVindaloo t c e 17:15, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] RuneScape locations

We all know that RuneScape locations needs a lot of work. I just started working on a potential rewrite of the page here, and I think the ideas you mentioned in the RuneScape locations talk page would be really useful in a rewrite instead of just for use in editing the current article. If you're interested, just say so on my talk page. Pyrospirit 02:29, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy close

You're welcome! --Fang Aili talk 04:02, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wild beasts

I saw that you emailed domino records regarding the above band, and as you predicted, they didn't email back! Just to let you know that the statement regarding domino records has been removed as there are no sources for it in the press at present. Would you like me to take it back to Afd for you? You did express concerns that without this maybe the article should be deleted (along with a couple of other editors). [edit] For my suprising display of clumsiness with words...

An apology
I try my best to say the appropriate things in deletion debates, and only argue harshly in case someone's arguing for a clearly hopeless case and can't properly justify to keep or delete the article based on our criteria. However, there are cases when I clearly should just have kept my mouth shut. The case of Boson (computer game) was clearly one of those cases. Not only you do have a valid point (the notability is debatable, no matter what criteria we're ultimately applying), but we ended up arguing about something that should not have been an issue in the first place. I'm sorry for all of the trouble this may have caused. --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 12:46, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] You are leaving Wikipedia?

Don't go! Why do you intend to leave? Chupper 02:28, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

I'll second that!! Your a top editor! Stay! RyanPostlethwaiteSee the mess I've created or let's have banter 21:15, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks guys, but I'm no longer convinced I can do anything of use here on WP and don't want to spend more hours achieving little. The encyclopedia's in good hands so I'm bowing out. QuagmireDog 23:13, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

I came to your page to ask the same question. I would really hate to see you leave. You are one of the major editors of the RuneScape articles, as far as I am concerned. If we can change your mind, I hope you will listen to this. Xela Yrag 18:51, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

I'm sorry for the trouble caused, I've been short-circuiting more than I would like and had something of a meltdown. It's passed, but I'll try not to bite off more than I can chew and redouble efforts to read-up the guidelines. QuagmireDog 10:07, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] For you

The RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
The Anti-Vandalism Barnstar is hereby awarded by me to you for your tireless efforts to prevent vandalism to the RuneScape article. Maybe you won't leave now???? Xela Yrag 18:58, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] nowiki

Hello. I've just edited you're post on CVG talk. Half of what you wrote was missing this was due to the <ref> that was in the text, as you know ref is the tag that marks a reference, so everything you wrote after the ref was treated as the contents of a reference and didn't appear as text. I've added nowiki tags to make the rest of your post visible. Everything between "<nowiki>" and "</nowiki>" is treated as text and not treated as a command. Keep up the good work. I wish more people would add references - X201 09:16, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks! Sorry about that, I looked to see why it was doing that, but thought the text had been cut-off because the page was becoming over-long (there's an 'above 96k' or somesuch message on the page). It's daft stuff like that which makes me cautious about blundering around and messing things up - but I do want to learn so I can help with all this work! Thanks again. QuagmireDog 09:32, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
You can create a user subpage[1] if you want, which you can use for testing and practice etc. It's what a lot of editors use if they're trying out something new or making major revisions to articles. If you need any help creating one I'd be glad to help. Don't worry about messing up edits, everyone does it and pages can easily be reverted to their previous incarnation. If you need any help with anything just leave a note on my user page - X201 11:31, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rule of Rose spammer

Is there any way to report/block this guy from continually adding his spam language to the link? If he wouldn't do that, others wouldn't keep trying to get rid of it outright. I don't even know why I'm so worried about it, I went there to get a little info and now I have some kind of vested interest! Heh. DestradoZero 18:50, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

Well, you're worried about it because you give a damn about the encyclopedia, whereas the serial spammer(s) care about nothing except pushing a couple of empty words to 'promote' a website that has been promoted beyond words already, or to discredit the link since they support a rival fansite. The one who has been blocked has decided that flogging a dead horse is the single most important contribution they can make to WP, returning with the same. I'll ask the admin who blocked them the first time to examine their actions. We can work through this and I'll continue chipping away at the article with citations.
