Quan is an American rapper, affiliated with Nas and Ill Will Records.

Quan was born in 1980 in Connecticut. When Quan was young, his family moved to Newport News, Virginia. He was a rebellious teenager, taking up with local street gangs and earning a reputation as a hustler. He was imprisoned at age 17.

While he was serving his sentence, Quan realized he needed to find a new way of life. He turned the rap game, reading books and poetry, and writing rhymes. Most of his early material was strictly underground, and he became a success on the mixtape circuit.

Eventually Quan met the famous and influential Queensbridge rapper Nas. Impressed by his rhymes, Nas signed Quan to his Ill Will record label, and featured him on "Just A Moment", the popular third single from his 2004 Street's Disciple album. The album was a critical success for Nas, and Quan's heartfelt verse earned him respect from the hip-hop community at large. Cassidy and Jeannie Ortega chose to feature him on their albums.

Quan's lyrical style is straightforward, but some respected "underground rap" types have singled him out as one of the best up-and-coming rappers. His "Just A Moment" verse is a favourite of both Prince Paul and Wise Intelligent.

Quan's forthcoming debut album is entitled Until My Death It is expected to see a release in 2007.
