Qeysar (Persian: قیصر ),also written as Gheisar, Kaiser and Gheysar, is a 1969 film by acclaimed Iranian filmmaker Masoud Kimiai. The film was considered a turning point in Persian cinema. By this film Kimiai generated a new genre in Iranian cinema so called "tragic action drama".[1]

Fati is a young girl who commits suicide after being raped and impregnanted by a man called Mansour Abmangol. Her older brother, Farman, tries to exact revenge for her death by killing Mansour, but is killed by Mansour's two brothers, Rahim and Karim.
Ghaisar is the youngest brother in the family, he works in another town. On returning to his hometown to see his fiancee, he discovers the tragedy which has befallen his family. He decides to quit his job in order to seek revenge. He manages to kill Karim at the public bath and Rahim at the abattoir. While he is searching for Mansour, Ghaisar's mother dies from a broken heart. Ghaisar finally manages to kill Mansour, but himself is shot by the police.
