From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Qemal Stafa is a multi-use stadium in Tirana, Albania. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 28,000.

Its namesake Qemal Stafa was the leader of the gioventu assosiation for the fredom of albania and he fight against hitler in the second world war. The stadium is considered a "devil" to visiting teams given that the Albanian National team usually wins all their home games. The victories over big names such as Russia, this one played in Loro Borici, and the draws against Ireland and Switzerland gave the stadium a big name for future events. Also, newly crowned European Champions Greece, on their first game after defeating Portugal, they lost 2-1 at Qemal Stafa stadium showing once again that visiting teams find wins very difficult here.
