Qbinux ("QuickBASIC Linux") emulates an environment similar to a Unix-like computer operating system. Like Linux its underlying source code is available for anyone to use, modify, and redistribute freely.
[edit] History
In 2004, Seb McClouth - creator of Qbinux - was shortly, after becoming a member Pete's QuickBASIC Site, introduced to the Unix-clone-shell of Novix created by Z!re, a member of the site. Intrigued by what was possible with Novix and of course very intrigued Linux and it's core, the first developments of Qbinux had began. That resulted in a Qbinux with the Novix core Xivon.
