Qardho District

Qardho District is the third-largest district in the Bari region of Somalia, and has a population of 50,000. The capital of the district is the historic city of Qardho. The district is inhabited primarily by the Cismaan Maxamuud, Cali Salebaan, and Cabdirixiin Salebaan subclan of the Majeerteen tribe. Some of the smaller Majeerteen subclans also reside in this district. Qardho has three secondary schools: Shikh Osman Omar, Al Mumtada and Alazhar.
