Qamar ul Islam

Qamar ul Islam (b. 27 January 19XX in Karnataka, India) is an Indian politician. He served as a a member of the Karnataka state legislature. He completed his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (B.E.). He started his political career in 1978 and was the cabinet minister for Housing and Labour for the administration led by Chief Minister S.M. Krishna from October 1999 to May 2004.
He is professionally an engineer, trader and industrialist, political and social worker, educator and an avid sportsperson who enjoys cricket and table tennis during his leisure time. ul Islam has also chaired numerous charitable trusts. He is married and has one son.
