The Qaisrani are a tribe of Baloch people.
[edit] Geography
The majority of the tribe occupies Dera Ghazi Khan and its adjacent tribal areas in the Suleiman Mountains. Important centers of the tribe include Kot Qaisrani, Sher Garh (Taunsa) and Tibbi Qaisrani which are located to the North of Taunsa Sharif. The Dhodak oil fields lie in Qaisrani territory called tuman in the local language.

The Qaisrani people living in mountains speak Baluchi and the people living in plain areas speak Saraiki.
[edit] Prominent Personalities
Like every other Baluch tribe, the Qaisrani also have a chief called the 'Sardar'. Sardar Mir Badshah Khan became the chief of the tribe after the death his father Sardar Zahoor Ahmad Khan Qaisrani. Other prominent personalities of the tribe include Sardar Subah Sadiq Khan Qaisrani a famous writer in saraki language. his books are 'Saraiki ki pehli kitab', 'Tak Takoor' & 'Guzrewharni',sardar Matloob Husnain Qaisrani a famous Journalist and writer his first book in saraiki is 'Bujahrtaan', Sardar Confucius Imam Qaisrani (commonly known as Sardar Imam Bakhsh Khan), Sardar Rasheed Ahmad Khan Qaisrani (a famous poet known as 'Rasheed Qaisrani'), Javed Iqbal Qaisrani (ex-Naid Nazim district D.G.Khan), Sardar Zulifqar Ali Khan Qaisrani (ex-vice chairman district D.G.Khan and one of the descendents of Kaura Khan. His son Sardar Aurangzeb Khan elected as a Nazim of u/c Tibbi Qaisrani).
Historically, Kaura Khan Qaisrani and Sardar Mitha Khan Qaisrani are renowned personalities whose ballads are sung even to date by the Buzdar tribesmen.
