Q & A is a 1990 crime film co-written and directed by Sidney Lumet, about a young assistant district attorney named Aloysius "Al" Francis Reilly (Timothy Hutton) seeking to prove a case against a corrupt NYPD police detective, Michael Brennan (Nick Nolte). Reilly encounters a former lover and her new protector, a crime boss by the name of Roberto 'Bobby Tex' Texador (Armand Assante), who refuses to help him.
