Pyrausta

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

For the genus of crambid moths (such as the Mint moth), see Pyrausta (moth).

Pyrausta (also called pyrallis, pyragones) is a mythological insect-sized dragon from Cyprus. It resembles a salamander with four legs and filmy wings. It lived in the fire and died if it went away from the fire.
