Pyramid Mall at Ithaca

The Pyramid Mall is in Ithaca, New York off Rt.13 and near Lansing. The mall was built in 1976 and has about 60 to 70 stores. The mall has seen many changes, having been remodelled in the mid-1980's. This mall is owned by The Pyramid Companies and is modeled like most of them.

  • Sears Not part of the original mall, opened in 1988, part of space was originally a movie theater, has new logo 55,756 sq. ft.
  • Bon-Ton 55,000 sq.ft, Formerly JW Rhodes.
  • Target Opened 2002 120,000 sq. ft.
  • Dick's Sporting Goods opened 2002
  • Borders Group Opened 2002
  • Old Navy Opened 1999 in part of old Montgomery Ward
  • A.C. Moore
  • Best Buy Opened 2002
  • 10 screen cinema Originally 4 screens accessible from Cafe Square (the food court), expanded to 8 screens (with an outside entrance) in the mid-80's, cut to 7 screens when Sears was built, expanded to 10 screens in the mid 1990's. Will be moving to a 14 screen stadium seating complex in a newly constructed section at the former Hills/Ames location in early 2007.

  • Montgomery Ward 100,000 square feet Closed 1997, Part of space converted into Old Navy. Remaining space demolished and replaced by Target in 2002
  • JW Rhodes Upscale department store owned by Pyramid, sold to Bon-Ton in 1991
  • Howland/Steinbach mini-anchor when mall opened, closed in the mid 80's. Part of space used for first theater expansion
  • Klein's All Sports Secondary anchor. Moved to Triphammer Mall in 2002. Store site is now Bon-Ton Home Store.
