Pyle

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pyle (Welsh: Pîl) is a village in Bridgend county borough, south Wales. It is a settlement served by the A48 road, has a railway station frequented by numerous trains running between Cardiff and Swansea, and also lies less than two miles from Junction 37 of the M4 motorway, and is therefore only a half-hour journey from the capital city of Cardiff. Despite its remote location and low population, Pyle is well sign-posted in both directions from both the M4 and the A48 road.

Pyle was made a community in 2002, when the Cynffig community was split into two parts (the other being Cornelly), following a recommendation of the Local Government Boundary Commission for Wales.

It has the tallest rugby posts in Wales.
