Sanjana (Kajol) lives in France with her Uncle(Harish Patel) and is about to marry her love Rahul (Bijay Anand). Rahul is about to go to India for a business trip and Sanjana insists on going with him, even though she is scared of flying. When the plane is ready to take off Sanjana's fear get's the best of her and she creates a havoc on getting off the plane.

During Rahul's daily call to Sanjana he blurts out that he has fallen in Love with Nisha (Kashmira Shah) and intends not to come back to Paris and get married to Sanjana.

Sanjana decides upon herself to get Rahul back whatever the price will be, even as going to combat her fear of flying. As the plane is about to take off a passenger sits next to her named Shekhar (Ajay Devgan). He realises that Sanjana is scared of flying so he diverts Sanjana attractions to himself by feeling sorry for Rahul. During the flight Sanjana accidentally spills drink on Shekhar and she realises that he hiding something. Shekhar reaches the toilets and pulls out a plant out of his pocket. When he unwraps the clothing over the plant we realise that Shekhar is infact a thief and has stolen a diamond necklace from paris and has hidden it in a plant. After a chaotic journey they reach India.
