[edit] Image Tagging Image:Shelton Benjamin.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Shelton Benjamin.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, ie in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you created this/these image(s) yourself, you can use the {{PD-self}} tag. Thank you.Who?¿? 10:44, 10 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Unlicensed images

These three images have been tagged with {{no license}}: Image:Parisi.jpg, Image:Boogeyman.jpg, and Image:Lashley.jpg. They will be deleted in 7 days, or so, unless you can convice us that WWE.com has licensed them under the GFDL or that they are a case of fair use. Good luck. JesseW, the juggling janitor 09:18, 18 October 2005 (UTC)

Ditto for Image:Mickiejames.jpg. --Jtalledo (talk) 01:11, 27 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Sub-stub articles

Please do no create articles with virtually no original text, as they will be nominated for deletion due to insuffience content and/or context. McPhail McPhail 00:47, 19 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Torrie and Styles

I know the Joey Styles' rumor is true but the thing posted on wwe.com is kayfabe. wwe.com has a nasty habit of spreading kayfabe unless its big, like the Brock Lesner story and the Joey Styles' story. The Torrie Wilson story is a cover-up story of her leaving. Next time you talk to someone on thier talk page type in 4 of these ~~~~ so they know who it is. SWD316 talk to me 20:46, 1 November 2005 (UTC)

Kane - I saw you put Kane back on the active roster. Please don't. Just because he turned into a tag-team champion doesn't mean his injured back healed. He is still injured. Remeber Trish Stratus, she was Womens champion when she had a herniated disk in her back. She didnt continue to compete, she took time off. SWD316 talk to me 20:54, 2 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Article creation

There are thousands of stub-length articles currently in existence, many of which are unlikely to ever be expanded. There is nothing wrong with creating new articles, but a few articles of considerable length and detail are preferable to dozens of articles with the bare minimum of detail. Thank you. McPhail 20:10, 4 November 2005 (UTC)

Again, I saw you just created Dorian DeVille, dont create so many articles that wont be expanded. That one will probably, but the ones you created about the OVW and DSW wrestlers will probably never get expanded. NO MORE LOW QUALITY STUBS PLEASE! SWD316 talk to me 01:49, 6 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Blanking

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia!. --Allen3 talk 14:24, 7 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Mickie James and Mickey Jay

Sigh, hello. What I was talking about on Mickie James and Mickey Jay is two different people. Mickey Jay (the referee for RAW) changed his name to Mickey Henson so no one would get confused with Mickie James (the women wrestler on RAW). Mickie James didn't change her name, Mickie Jay (the ref) did. SWD316 16:57, 17 November 2005 (UTC)

And here's your damn proof.

[1]

I dont have to prove anything to you. I know what I'm talking about, unlike some people. SWD316 17:05, 17 November 2005 (UTC)

Well, keep it at Mickey Henson because of my evidence. wwe.com is not always the best source for information. Use multiple sources. SWD316 20:48, 18 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Dean Higuchi

Please PWI500, dont create articles just to fill a red link until you provide enough information for the article, for example: Dean Higuchi. SWD316 22:31, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

Hello again, the Camille Tourville article you created need to be wikified. (ex. professional wrestler should be professional wrestler). Please do this for all articles you create. SWD316 01:10, 27 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Wu-tang images

I've noticed you have added new images to various members of Wu-tang (for instance at Killah Priest). As you know, the sources for these need to be cited (are they web images, promotional photos, etc)? If you don't cite them in the next few days, they will likely be tagged as having no license and deleted/removed from the articles. If you don't add this information, I will look for it myself when I have time, but you should do so when you add the image. This is very important as wikipedia is a large web page and can incur large copyright infringement legal issues if we editors do not act responsibly. Smmurphy(Talk) 19:27, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Please stop

Not only are you apparently uploading multitudes of unlicensed, unsourced images, you are uploading unlicensed unsourced images directly over existing images which are sourced (Gzapromo.jpg). If you want to upload a photo, do it in its own filename, not over an existing one. You left the description and licensing of the old image intact, the description and licensing which did not apply to the new image at all. --Jamieli 15:47, 3 January 2006 (UTC)

And you did it for MethodMan.jpg as well!!!! --Jamieli 00:09, 4 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Film substubs

Please stop creating extremely small summary articles of films. They do not provide useful information and are a waste of time and space on Wikipedia. Either research the articles more thoroughly or do not create them at all. haz (user talk) 20:42, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Odbfresh.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Odbfresh.jpg. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. [edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Masta killa1.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Masta killa1.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. BRossow 02:50, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

It seems like the {{publicity}} tag, source information and a fair use rational on the image description page would be the most useful thing you could do here. Regards, Dethomas 05:47, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
