Oh, I see. According to this, some people pronounce it as "py-AL-up", such that the first syllable rhymes with "buy". --Brandon Dilbeck 21:31, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

It is commonly pronounced, such as by telemarketers and other solicitors, as "poo-YAL-up."
