Hello. I don't understand a couple of bits of text, maybe these can be clarified. (1) the troops refused to agree to the new terms -- what new terms were those? (2) the entire matter was dropped, never to be seen again -- what "entire matter" was that? Universal suffrage? If so, that was revived in the 19th century, if not earlier, was it not?
