"Putting The Damage On" is a ballad by Tori Amos, and is featured on her third solo album, Boys For Pele, as the 17th track, from 1996.
The original version was edited again and appeared again as a bonus track for Amos' compilation album, Tales of a Librarian.
[edit] Twilight Mix
There is also a "Twilight Mix" of this song. It includes extra background vocals, snare drums, and a structural edit that removes the bridge.
The "Twilight Mix" was featured on a promotional CD issued by RAINN in 1997. The CD was called Tori Amos the benefit for RAINN and was numbered Atlantic #PRCD 6995-2. (The other song on this CD was a live version of "Me and a Gun," recorded during the 1997 RAINN benefit concert in New York City featured on Tori Amos: Live from New York.) During 1997, this CD was given out during several promotions in order to raise money for RAINN.
The remix began to climb the charts in Poland and Austria in late 1997. Peaking at #28 in both countries.
