Put to Pasture/Future Schlock is the twelfth episode of the fourth and last season of, the Nicktoon, Rocko's Modern Life.

In Put to Pasture, Heffer accidentally had eaten way too much "Pasture Puffies,", his favorite snack. Throughout, the Bigheads, Rocko, and Filbert tells each story about Heffer. Filbert tells how he met Heffer when he was working at a market giving free samples, and Heffer started eating them. Ed Bighead tells his story about Heffer, which back then he known as "the handsomest toad in O-Town". He tells the story when Heffer was delivering papers and threw a newspaper and Ed tried to catch it, Ed accidentally fell into Bev's blender and that's why he became "the toad of today". Finally, Rocko then tells his story saying that he met Heffer in high school. With Filbert, all three were working on a potato project. Rocko then explained that when the lightbulb would light with the potato in the water, Heffer accidentally ate the potato. That night, Rocko, Filbert and Heffer decided to share potato chips. However, Heffer ate all of them. Outraged, Filbert started to force the potato chip bag down his mouth, then a compute. Filbert then said, "Oh, that you've eaten the potato, you could eat the lightbulb!". All of a sudden, the lightbulb lighted in Heffer's mouth. Filbert and Rocko started packing in different kinds of potatoes into Heffer. The next day, when all hope was lost when the lightbulb did not work, the whole city got a power outage, including the sun as the boys' light shone throughout the universe and into the heavens. After the flashback, Heffer is awake. Everyone seems relieved, but are furious of what he done. At the end, Heffer pulls out a bag of Pasture Puffies and Rocko then takes it away.

In Future Schlock, Filbert's sons find an old banana in the fridge of Rocko's house. Filbert then explains the reason. It turns out that when Heffer and Rocko were trying to rescue a monkey from Ed Bighead, they accidentally went into Ed's rocket and blasted off to space. The banana that Filbert found belonged to the monkey. Back into the future, Rocko and Heffer return. With Rocko and Heffer, several banana-like aliens come jumping out. It seems that the banana that Filbert found was the queen of the aliens. Later, Filbert and his sons are about to drive the rocket. Though it seems that they are gone forever, they immediately come back in a few seconds.
