Pushpa Ferreira was a fictional character in the popular BBC soap opera EastEnders. She was played by Madhur Jaffrey.
[edit] History
Pushpa was the ex-wife of Dan Ferreira and had deserted her family to live with Dan's best friend.
When Dan and his family arrived in Walford, Dan told his new neighbours that he was a widower and that his wife was dead. However, viewers discovered that Pushpa was very much alive, and living on the other side of London with her new partner.
When Dan disappeared, Pushpa's children Ash, Adi and Kareena visited her to see if she could donate one of her kidneys to her other son Ronny, who had been stabbed and needed a transplant. Pushpa's kidney was not a match for Ronny.
