[edit] Plot details

Frank (Kim Bodnia) is a drug dealer with a lot of success. Along with his sidekick Tonny (Mads Mikkelsen), he makes a dope deal with the Yugoslav drug lord Milo (Zlatko Buric), whom he already owes money, for cash that he hasn't got.

Frank gets busted by the police, but succeeds in dumping the dope. While being interrogated, the cops play a trick on him, making him believe that Tonny has ratted him out. When he gets out, he finds Tonny and severely beats him.

Milo, who wants his money back, puts a lot of pressure on Frank, who now has to go through the Copenhagen underground to collect his debt, but that is easier said that done. With time running out and a lot of enemies, Frank is slowly loosing his nerve.

The film was followed by Pusher 2.
