Purushottam Khedekar

Purushottam Khedekar is the founder of Maratha Seva Sangh (MSS), an organizaton pandering to the revival of Maratha glory. He is also the founder of the controversial hardline group Sambhaji Brigade, known for their anti-Brahman stance and perpetrating violence against several scholars, academics, and other figures who oppose their radical theology. Khandekar, a Pune-based PWD executive engineer, founded MSS in 1990.

Purushottam Khedekar is married to Rekha Khedekar who is a politician and member of predominantly Hindu Bharatiya Janta Party. He has two sons both have completed higher studies from top class universities in USA and now are settled in USA.

He is the founder of Shiv Dharma, a new "religion" based on the devotion to the God Shiva, which is has started converting people from Muslim and mainstream Hindu religions. Brahmins are denied conversion.
