Pure is Godflesh's second official album, and one of the band's most popular and influential releases even though the change in sound as opposed to Streetcleaner lost many of their more "metal" fans. It was released in 1992 on Earache Records. A music video was produced for the single "Mothra".
Tracks 9 and 10 did not appear on the initial cassette and vinyl versions of the album.
