Puolanka (Puolango in Swedish) is a municipality in Finland and is located in the province of Oulu and is part of the Kainuu region. The municipality has a population of 3,472 and covers an area of 2,599.79 km² of which 132.56 km² is water. The population density is 1.4 inhabitants per km².

The highest waterfall in Finland, Hepoköngäs is located 16 km from the center of Puolanka.
