Sorry, but your Rap Basement article has been deleted. The sorts of articles Wikipedia encourages are the sort that would be in a regular encyclopedia. Only famous websites make the cut, unfortunately. Please, we encourage you to contribute other articles, though -- noncommercial stuff is always appreciated. :) --Unforgettableid 04:05, 31 October 2005 (UTC)

I like the Kenji Fukui article you created, though. Stubs really encourage other people to create longer articles on Wikipedia. :) --User:Unforgettableid

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Immortal01.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Immortal01.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 20:45, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Explanation of the message above

  • Did you take the Immortal01 picture? Are you willing to release it under the GFDL?
  • If someone else took the picture, did you talk to them? Have they given you per

mission to release it under the GFDL for them?

Wikipedia needs to know all this, as we like open content. That means that anyone can copy our encyclopedia, e.g. on DVD-ROM, and improve it, and we can incorporate their changes back into Wikipedia, among other things.

That is why we need to know licensing information. See WP:HELP and search for uploading for more info on tagging, or click "talk to me" below. Cheers,

I got the immortal technique picture from a website.. Just through a google image search. It was on a music site and it was taken by a professional photography company, so I'm guessing I can't use it?

Probably not unless the photography company gives special permission. See Wikipedia:Image use policy if you want details. We are always happy to accept text and images that you have made, but sadly we cannot always accept others. :-) --unforgettableid | talk to me 07:41, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
