Punjab Medical College

Punjab Medical College is located in Faisalabad, Pakistan on a 158 acre campus. It was established in 1973 - 1974. The College provides separate male and female housing for both students and staff physicians. Teaching hospitals affiliated with the College are Allied Hospital and DHQ Hospital. Its current principal is Prof. Dr A.G. Rehan. The first group of graduates with M.B.B.S degrees finished in 1978. With a grant of 460 million from the government, the construction of new buildings, laboratories and the teaching hospital was completed in 1982. In the past Punjab Medical College became the Center of Student Politics in Faisalabad. In recent years political activism among students has diminished greatly.
