Punctata (White elm cultivar)

The European White Elm U. laevis cultivar Punctata was first mentioned by Schelle in Beissner et al. Laubholz-Benennung 87, 1903 as U. effusa (: laevis) f. punctata, but without description. Schneider described it the following year in Ill. Handb. Laubh. 1: 213, 1904 as having leaves flecked with white. The tree was never cultivated in the UK.
